This afternoon I’ve been listening to Oxia’s second album, Tides of Mind. To be honest it’s been something of a revelation. I’m only passingly familiar with Oxia’s previous work (mostly “Whole Life” from a couple of years back, and a few tech house tracks since then), so I was expecting something very different to the organic fueled deep house that this album contains. You can hear samples on the Juno page linked the the RA review above, well worth a go.
I don’t usually listen to the Defected radio show, but the inclusion of a Solomun guest mix tempted me in. And I’m glad it did, there’s minimal talking for a radio show and Solomun’s mix is great. Well worth a listen.
Trickski - From Above
Out in the last couple of weeks from Suol, this track is taken from the new Past Sense EP from Trickski, whom you might remember from the rather epic “Good Time To Pray” from last year. This time it’s a rather less vocal lead number from them, but it’s still drenched with soul, a summer classic in the making.
The man himself, at the opening of the greatest club on earth. What more do you need to know? (oh, and we have to wait at least 14 minutes for the first ohyesohyes, he’s slipping with age, and I swear you’ve never seen anything like what happens at about 57 minutes in! )
Be-at.tv keep delivering the good with this live set from Azari & III. They’re as good live as everyone says :)

The Ibiza Opening Weekend is upon us once again, with Sankey’s being the first to end up broadcast all over the internets for those of us not lucky enough to be there :) This is a link to Solomun’s set on be-at.tv. For anyone who doesn’t know him, he’s a purveyor of the finest deep house, so go ahead and enjoy and hour or two of him.
